She should also consume folic acid rich foods like peanuts, broccoli, beans, etc.

4)      Vitamin D: - Just like Calcium, vitamin D is also helpful in building bones but it also requires for healthy eyesight and skin. A pregnant woman must take 600 international units dose of it daily. As our body is also capable in producing vitamin D on exposure to sunlight so early morning exposure to sunlight is equally important for her.

5)      Omega 3 Fatty Acids: - Many kinds of fishes are good sources of natural omega-3 fatty acid and it is required for developing brains of babies. Non-veg. women can eat fish during pregnancy but a vegetarian pregnant woman can take capsules that are available in the market.

6)      Vitamin B12: - Different types of problems such as miscarriages, low birth weight, restricted growth of baby are result of deficiency of vitamin B12. So doctor prescribes its 2.6 mcg daily dose to a pregnant woman. Non-veg. pregnant women can consume it from meat, fish, or poultry products whereas a veg. pregnant woman can take multivitamins that are available in different forms in the market.

7)      DHA: - Just like folic acid, it is also important for brain development of growing fetus. It is also found in fish and vegetarian women can fulfill the requirement from different supplements available in the market.

8)      Vitamin C: - Oranges, strawberries, amla, lime are the best sources of vitamin C. So the requirement for vitamin C can be fulfilled from these fruits.
